Our Wines
Enjoyment from the first sip to the last glass. That is our claim. We harvest by hand, work as naturally as possible, use as little sulfur as possible, and consistently avoid chemicals. The result: wines without residues, but with exceptional digestibility.

Our Vineyards
Our winery is located at the foot of the Weitenberg hill and offers a sweeping view of the Wachau region. The adjacent vineyards form a contiguous vineyard that covers around 50 percent of our total cultivation area. This special location with its stone walls not only shapes the landscape, but also the character of our wines.

Our heart and soul! Here, Krimhilde, Adolf, Martina, and Andreas have worked together with dedication to build stone walls that form the foundation for unique wines. The Weitenberg is located on the northern edge of Weißenkirchen with a magnificent view of the Danube. Even for us winemakers, working up here is sometimes a break from everyday life. The soils require the right instinct – they can only be worked optimally within a tiny window of time. That is why they are called “minute soils.” In combination with classic Gföhler gneiss schist, they give our Grüner Veltliners and Rieslings a slightly cooler, dark fruity aroma. Minutenböden. In Verbindung mit einer klassischen Gföhler Gneis-Rutschmasse sorgen sie bei unseren Grünen Veltlinern und Rieslingen für eine etwas kühlere, dunkelfruchtige Aromatik.

Behind the castle lies the district of Burg in Weißenkirchen, which was first mentioned in documents dating back to 1506. At the foot of the Seiber, erosion has created deep, humus-rich soils with a distinctive 25 cm mineral humus horizon. These soils shape the unmistakable character of this reed bed, which we continue to cultivate today with our own personal touch.

The south- and southwest-facing Steinriegl vineyard is directly adjacent to the Vorderseiber vineyard and is only 346 meters from the Danube. The impressive terraced vineyard with its geological peculiarity—white-colored calc-silicate marble—benefits from cool winds from the Waldviertel region and the warm evening sun in the west. This unique microclimate gives our Rieslings their distinctive, mineral character and makes every sip a special experience.

Achleiten is one of the most famous vineyards in the Wachau region—and for us, it presents a special challenge and joy every year. Just 27 meters from the Danube, the terraced vineyard stretches up into the forest. Different types of rock give it its complexity, resulting in wines with unmistakable depth and character.

The Vorderseiber is the upstream part of the large Seiberer vineyard and, with its countless terraces, shapes the image of Weißenkirchen. First mentioned in documents as early as 1366, this vineyard has a rich history—and a soil profile that gives our wines their distinctive character.
